It is free from many of the ingredients which cause food reactions and it only contains a single source of animal protein (turkey). Rice and oats provide essential carbohydrates and all ingredients are easy to digest. Based on the James Wellbeloved “full bowl, fewer calories” principle, the Light Turkey & Rice kibble has a reduced physical density so it takes up more room in the bowl and your dog will need a little longer to eat it. The increased dietary fibre will make your dog feel full although it is actually eating fewer calories, and the protein level is higher so that your dog will mainly lose weight from the fatty tissue, rather than the muscle tissue.

Chicory extract provides the prebiotic inulin which is good for the digestive system, encouraging good glut flora, while preventing bad gut flora.
